In 1991, Dr. Charles and Gladys Trombley received letters from Malawian pastors saying “We have so many orphans and we can’t care for them.”
In response to the urgent need, Charles Trombley Ministries opened the 1st orphanage in Chuta Village in the Luchenza District, Malawi, Africa. In 1993, two years later, the ministry signed a 99 year lease with the Malawian goverment for 82 acres in the Thylo District, just south of Blantyre, Malawi. With a few buildings, plenty of water and farm land, the children could now call Victory Christian Childrens Home (VCCH) their home.
Today, VCCH continues to provide a home to orphans; providing God’s love and a safe environment with food, clothing, shelter and education.
We have Victory Christian School for the children from pre-school thru senior high school. As funds are available, some of the children are provided with scholarships to attend local colleges or trade schools to further their education.
Through donations and the contributions of sponsors, like you, we now have more than 20 buildings, including a church tabernacle, dining hall, dormitories, staff housing and missionary housing.
Today, many of the staff are VCCH Alumni, now giving back to others from what they received.
